licence-tracker
Subscriptions renew by themselves, and the notice period ends weeks before the date on the invoice. List what you pay for, with renewal date and notice period: the tracker shows the yearly cost, what you have to decide this month, and where it is already too late to cancel.
Off: the list is gone when you close the tab. It is never sent anywhere.
what belongs in the list
- Everything with a renewal date: software, cloud services, domains, certificates, support contracts, the firewall's security licence, the internet line.
- The notice period from the contract, not from memory. Ninety days is common for business software.
- An owner for every line: the person who can say whether it is still needed.
- Once a quarter, compare seats paid with seats used. Unused seats are the easiest money IT ever saves.
- Find the forgotten ones in the bookkeeping: ask for every recurring payment to a software company.
Prices are whatever currency you type, per seat and per billing period. For Microsoft 365 seats and what each plan includes, see the licence optimizer and the licence comparison. Hardware and warranty dates go into the asset inventory. End-of-support dates: product lifecycle.
