Four commands everybody uses and nobody remembers the switches of. Tick what you want, read what each switch does, copy the line. The page warns you before a command deletes something.

The page builds text, it does not run anything and cannot see your files. Test a new command on a folder that does not matter, and use the dry run where there is one. Switches follow GNU tar, GNU find and rsync 3; the versions that ship with macOS and BusyBox lack a few of them.
